The dance is sponsored by Renaissance Cadienne www.renaissancecadienne.org . The dance will include old-time musicians from the area and will also feature a few 19th century Acadian dances such as the Mazurka, Bourree, Reel, Polka, and the Schottische that were quite popular among the peoples of Cajun culture years ago but have gone by the wayside in present-day dance halls.
