February 7th, Saturday, Magnolia Texas Bluegrass monthly show. Laughing Lizards stage time is 1-hour and will be from approximately 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Sydney O'Connell, 11-year old champion fiddler and our side-kick, will do a special show from 6:45 to 7:00 featuring some absolutely fantastic Texas fiddle tunes with Steve Bing on guitar. The stage show starts at 6:00pm and goes until 9:00pm featuring bluegrass bands. The Laughing Lizards will play a combination of Old-Time music and Cajun music. It will be a combination of the Laughing Lizards and the Bayou Hot Shots. Admission is FREE and open to the public. Food and drink is available for purchase. No alcohol allowed. Jamming by local musicians is in the lobby of the building and sometimes outside, weather permitting. Location is Montgomery County Community Development Center Bldg., 31355 Friendship Drive, Magnolia, TX 77355. From Houston go north on Hwy 249 to Magnolia and at the flashing yellow light is Friendship Drive. Turn LEFT on Friendship Drive and the Community Bldg. is about 200 yards on the Right. Friendship Drive is about 2 miles south of the main Magnolia intersection of Hwy 249 and Hwy 1488. Festival features Old Time, Bluegrass, Bayou Hot Shots Cajun Band, and other traditional bands and performers. Music instrument workshops. Food available for purchase at the festival. Tent and RV camping on the festival grounds - no hookups. From Crockett, TX go east on Hwy 7 about 16 miles, festival grounds will be on the right.
