Donna’s guitar style was developed by playing Cajun music in jam sessions throughout Louisiana, watching the masters such as Freddie Hanks, and learning from “Magnolia Sisters” Jane Vidrine and Anne Savoy. Her driving, rhythmic style has been praised by musicians and dancers alike. In Louisiana, Donna became immersed in Old Time music, and has travelled throughout Kentucky, West Virginia, and North Carolina learning and playing Old Time tunes on guitar, fiddle, and banjo ukelele. Aside from playing music, Donna has performed, directed, and choreographed performances of International Folk Dances, including two shows at Miller Outdoor Theater in Houston TX in the 1990’s. She can sing in 16 languages and knows dances from over 30 countries. She is the founder and past President of the Houston Dog Park Association, and a charter member of the Houston Corporate Recycling Council. Donna enjoys hiking and camping in our National Parks (America’s Greatest Idea).
